The new BNP Paribas

BGŻ BNP Paribas, one of the leading banks in Poland, set itself a goal
to refresh its image. The first stage of this process was to be a new mobile
application – a modern application, making use of the latest trends in UX
and design.

What was the challenge?

The bank had a reputation of being a little outdated and quite conservative.

The new application had to be out of the top drawer, and have such a distinctive market presence that the application alone would be able to take on the mantle of radically refreshing the image of the entire BGŻ BNP Paribas. What's more, we had only one month to design the graphic layout and user experience. Such a short project lead time required us to assemble an extremely disciplined and professional team, and demanded a faster than usual decision process from the client.

Increasing the number of mobile users

Thanks to the new application, BGŻ BNP Paribas has registered an increased number of users in mobile channels. We facilitated this increase by creating a registration process that is fast and simple. We also implemented tools to enable users to learn how to use the application in an accessible way.

Making everyday banking more pleasant

Thanks to its ease of use and functionality, the application has built a strong bond with its users. In the foreground, we set up daily banking, with simplifications such as notifications about revenues and expenses, as well as supporting recurring payments or forecasting transfer dates.

Surprising with contextual hints

The application watched and learned how users were making use of it. Based on this context, product recommendations were proposed and even next steps suggested - for example, a saving suggestion was prompted at the time of making a personal transfer.

Building a relationship with the user

The bank became an advisor and a partner in the financial life of users. The application encourages conversation, and reminds you of important dates and events throughout the year. With transactions, the bank can even advise during purchases, for example in the form of a discount coupon for the shop visited. In a nutshell, it automates everyday activities and at the same time builds confidence in the bank.

Triggering a wow effect!

The BGŻ BNP Paribas application has distinguished itself from the competition, offering unique features and solutions. Transaction before logging in, help from an adviser on the application level, and "pay with a selfie" - confirming transactions with a smile! Just accessing such an application put a smile on the face of users and made them feel very, very special.
